Everyone has been asking when new designs will be coming out … well … a lot has been happening … The Monkey & The Bee got married in July!

We started Monkey & The Bee as a way to potentially help pay for our wedding. We did it! We have had tremendous support from our customers for the past 8 months and are excited to take the next step in our journey with you.

We’re famous (kinda)!

In the news … We were humbled by the request by the Dallas Voice to do an article about our company for this years’ Pride edition.

Instfamous … or at least we felt that way when the article came out. Want to know more about Monkey & The Bee … this is a great article that tells you more about what we are about and how we are involved with the lgbtq community in Dallas.

Monkey & The Bee hit the road and set up shop at RMC in Longview, Texas.

EAST TEXAS STYLE … 

Most recently, The Bee and Tommy & Glenn, hit the road to set up shop in Longview, Texas at RMC. This was our first venture outside the Big D and boy was it a great trip. We left Dallas on a Friday night a couple weeks ago, drove out to Longview, set up shop, and mingled with the crowd at RMC, then headed back home. It was a long night but well worth it! We had a great time meeting new people and of course selling some tees and tanks!

Everyone at RMC, from the owners, staff, and patrons of the bar were so very welcoming and supportive of Monkey & The Bee. We can’t wait to go back with new designs and styles!

Out and about! Of course, we have been setting up shop all over Dallas for the past couple of months. Some of the great businesses that have allowed us to set up shop include: The Round-Up Saloon & Dance Hall, S4 – The Rose Room @S4, and Cedar Springs Tap House.

Monkey & The Bee | Gay Pride | Gay Owned Business

And last but probably most important to us …  we are gearing up new designs for 2017 Dallas Pride Festival (Official)​ we wanted to reflect on the amazing support we have received from our customers so far this year. We are truly thankful to each and every one of you.

Giving back to the community is very important to us. Although we are a small company (started late last year) we do everything we can to give back in some form or fashion (pun intended) to the community.

Money and The Bee T-shirt company stays rooted in community service

Michael Albee and Frank Martinez started their t-shirt company — Monkey and the Bee — after “we started freaking out about how to pay for our wedding,” the men explained.
Martinez suggested Albee, a graphic designer, put his art on a t-shirt. And, Albee said, “We decided to go for it, see if there’s an interest.”

February has been Awesome!

Our first shout out goes to Dalton & Kiva Rapattoni … They took the time out of their busy schedules to stop by Monkey & The Bee to purchase an Awareness Tee to support the Dallas Resource Center Health Campus – Nutrition Center. On top of that Dalton posted this silly picture of him wearing our tee on his Instagram account and got us a few more sales (which means a few more donations) that we may not have gotten without their help. Thank you Dalton & Kiva for your support … we truly appreciate your kind spirit and helping us out with the February Awareness Tee charity!

We have to thank the Round-Up Saloon for letting us set up shop during Wine Walk, Bear Happy Hour and the Dallas Bears Casserole Cook-Off, as well as Giant Entertainment during their ICONS: The Party! Concert.

Every opportunity that we are given to get our name and brand out there is greatly appreciated and we couldn’t be more happy with the support from our friends and new customers!

Pop Up Shop Tonight

Monkey & The Bee will be at Bear Happy Hour at (The Round-Up Saloon and Dance Hall) this coming Friday (01/20/17) with our signature “Bear Hugs” shirts for sale, along with some new items including our NEW and IMPROVED FOOTBALL RAGLAN and BIG BANANA METALLIC TEE! Come out, say hi, shop the designs!

Make plans now to come out early and stay late. Drink specials, food and lots of socializing. Round-Up dancers will be performing on the dancer boxes. Bring your cigars and have a smoke out on the patio. We look forward to seeing you there.
